Giving Back

Because an organization has a social obligation to share its success with those less fortunate, Irwin & Leighton and its employees enthusiastically offer financial and personal support to a wide range of community social programs and activities.

Corporate Volunteerism

Irwin & Leighton’s Committee for Corporate Volunteerism consists of employees from all parts of the Company. The Committee for Corporate Volunteerism identifies worthwhile opportunities and organizes employees to contribute their time and/or resources to these programs. In recent years, Irwin & Leighton and its employees have:

—	built a playground for Laurel House the only emergency domestic violence shelter in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania;
—	participated in and supported Pottstown’s Soap Box Derby Challenge Race which provides a taste of soap box derby racing for special needs children;
—	raised funds for The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and The Breast Health Institute;
—	organized an American Red Cross Blood Drive;
—	volunteered on a Habitat for Humanity project;
—	donated to the Marine Corps Care Package Drive and Toys for Tots;
—	collected toys, clothes and household items for Christ’s Home for Children;
—	collected “gently used” books to support the Montgomery County Literacy Group;
—	volunteered to help the Corvettes for Kids Corporation which raises funds to assist the families of children with life-threatening illnesses and disabling conditions who due to the medical expenses associated with their child’s illness endure financial devastation.
